How to apply

An application to graduate school at 全球电竞直播 is a multi-step process. Please read these instructions in full before you submit your application. It is recommended that all parts of your application are completed by the program’s specific application deadline.

  • Visit the program page to review graduate programs available, and select one of interest to you.
  • For program-specific questions, contact the program’s Graduate Program Director, listed on each program page.
  • Many research-based programs will require you to have a supervisor arranged prior to applying to the program. Links to lists of Faculty associated with the program can be found on the individual program pages.
  • Review the university’s general admission requirements .
  • Program requirements vary by program. Review requirements for your program on the program page .
  • Note the application deadline. Many programs will accept applications after the deadline if the program is not full. If the application deadline has passed, we recommend checking with the program’s Graduate Program Director before applying.
  • For international students, we recommend you apply a minimum of 6 months in advance of the program start date to ensure you have time to get the necessary documents to study in Canada.

Several documents are required as part of your application. These will be uploaded to your Brock portal after you have submitted your online application through the Ontario University Application Centre (OUAC). While requirements vary by program, you can expect to need:

  • Transcripts & Degree Certificates
    • During the application process, digital unofficial transcripts from all previous post-secondary studies (universities and colleges) are required. Unofficial transcripts must include the student’s full legal name, student ID number, full name of institution attended and all coursework completed and grades earned. A scanned copy of an official transcript may also be used.
    • If you are admitted to your desired program, an official copy of your transcript must be provided, directly from the issuing institution. A transcript is considered official if it is sealed and stamped by the issuing institution. As soon as a transcript is opened, it is no longer official.
  • Referees
    • Most programs require a minimum of two academic references. Referees must be able to provide an institutional e-mail address. Referees do not need to provide a reference letter. Referee contact information is entered into the OUAC application system and they will be contacted directly by Brock to complete a referee report. The report must be submitted electronically.
  • Language Test Scores
  • Resume/CV
    • Resume – A current summary of the applicant’s relevant education and experience. This should include details about the applicant’s academic and professional background.
    • CV (Curriculum Vitae) – A current summary of the applicant’s education, qualifications and career to date. This should include the applicant’s full education details, employment, teaching and research activities/experience, and publications (if any).
  • Complete and submit the online application .
  • When you have submitted the application, you will be prompted to pay the non-refundable application fee. You must pay the fee for each program to which you are applying. Application fees vary by program.
    • $110 CAD – MA, MBE, MSC, MS or PhD –
    • $140 CAD – MADS, GD ADS, MBA, MAcc, MEd, MPH, MPH/MBA, MAG or MPK programs
  • The fee is payable to the Ontario University Application Centre and can be paid by VISA or Mastercard.
  • Once you have submitted and paid for your application, one to two business days are required for Brock to receive your application from the Ontario Universities Application Centre.

Within one week of submitting your application through OUAC, you will be contacted by e-mail with your Brock Campus ID (2 letters, 2 numbers, 2 letters) and instructions on how to log in to the Brock portal to upload the remaining required documents for your application to be considered. Monitor your application and document status on the  Brock portal using your campus ID. The Brock portal is your most up-to-date source of information. Offer letters to admitted students will be posted to their Brock Portal account. Please refer to the  FAQ  section of the website for answers to additional questions.

Admissions decisions will only be posted to the portal. Admission decisions are typically made 6 – 8 weeks after the application deadline.

All prospective students are encouraged to apply and will be considered on the basis of evidence of probable success in their chosen program. Enrolment has been limited in order that our students may continue to benefit from the University’s traditions of personal contact and individual attention. Applicants must be formally admitted to the University before they can register in degree-credit courses. The regulations for admission specify minimum requirements only. Possession of the minimum entrance requirement is not a guarantee of admission. The University reserves the right to refuse admission to any candidate. Assessment of academic background and eligibility for admission to graduate programs is the responsibility of the specific graduate program which will make recommendations for acceptance of applicants to the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Brock has had and will continue to have, a racially non-discriminatory policy and therefore does not discriminate against applicants and students on the basis of race, colour or nationality or ethnic origin. Students should be aware that documentation of immigration status/citizenship will be required and that a penalty for a false statement is deregistration. In addition, any changes in status, e.g., from visa student to permanent resident or Canadian citizen, requires proof of the new status with appropriate documents. Please note that documents and transcripts submitted to the Faculty of Graduate Studies become the property of the University and will not be returned.
