Our Adult Education programs offer flexible opportunities to advance your expertise in adult teaching and learning environments.
A certificate or degree in Adult Education is for individuals working with – or wanting to work with – adults in a variety of educational settings including: college and post-secondary settings, corporate training; volunteer organizations; public service settings, health care, and other management and/or supervisory settings. It is also for individuals who wish to develop their knowledge and skills in workplace settings in teaching, coaching, mentoring, training, and adult skill development. Most of our students are part time, mature distance learners who apply their degrees in many sectors – business, industry, health care, government, post-secondary sectors, financial services and manufacturing.
Please note: If your interest is in working as a teacher of children or adolescents (primary/junior, junior/intermediate or intermediate/senior), you should be looking to the BEd leading to the Ontario Certificate of Qualification. For more information about that program and its requirements, please visit the Teacher Education web site.

- Distance learning allows you to take our Adult Education courses online with no requirement to meet on campus.
