Volunteers, employees welcome Canada Games visitors to learn more about Brock

As the Canada Games gets underway on Brock’s main campus and at venues throughout the Niagara region, members of the Brock community will be ready to provide insight into the University and its partnerships with the Games.

From Sunday, Aug. 7 to Sunday, Aug. 21, visitors are invited to stop by a Brock promotional tent that will be stationed in the heart of Niagara Place — the hub for an outdoor festival being held throughout the Games.

Niagara Place is set up beside the new state-of-the-art Canada Games Park sports facility next to Brock’s main campus. Eager to show their Badger pride, volunteers and employees will chat with the public about all things Brock while inviting visitors to take part in games and other activities.

Meanwhile, the Brock Canada Games Academic team will also host activities for the community at various Games venues. The Academic tent includes a selfie booth with vintage Canada Games Council memorabilia, contests, giveaways and unique photo cards about Canada Games projects at 全球电竞直播 .

Beginning Sunday, Aug. 7 at Charles Daly Park, as part of the all-day Lincoln 13 for 13 event, the Academic tent will make its way to stops around the region, including the Niagara Cricket Centre and Welland Baseball Stadium, while also hosting regular events at Niagara Place and Canada Games Park. A full list of venues can be found on the Canada Games Academic website .

A last form of outreach will take place inside Brock’s Rankin Family Pavillion, where athletes will be asked to share their experience at the Games as part of the University’s Sport Oral History Archive.
