A team approach is utilized to best support students from a holistic approach. The CARE (Campus Assessment, Response, and Education) Team includes representatives from the following areas:

  • Psychologist
  • Student Wellness and Accessibility Centre
  • Student Health Services
  • Registrar’s Office
  • Campus Security Services
  • Residence Life
  • International Centre
  • Human Rights and Equity
  • Student Accessibility Services
  • Student Affairs

What is the role of the Case Manager?

The Case manager connects students that are identified as an at-risk student with resources that could assist them in maintaining optimal mental health and general  health and well-being. The goal is to provide support and assistance to student so that they can reach their full academic and social potential.

A case manager can…

  1. Perform an assessment of the individual student
  2. Plan in conjunction with the CARE (Campus Assessment, Response, and Education) Team and student
  3. Coordinate services for students
  4. Evaluate and provide follow up with student
  5. Connect services with the student’s “unique needs”
