WHAT IS IT?
The Collegiate Leadership Competition (CLC) is a high-impact, experiential leadership development initiative that provides students with an opportunity to develop real-world leadership skills and work collaboratively with other students.
Student participants meet throughout the Winter term with campus coaches to learn new leadership concepts and research, practice their team-building and communications skills with other team members, and sharpen their problem-solving abilities through rigorous exercises and activities. In April, participants will test their skills against other university and college teams at the Collegiate Leadership Competition.
Fourteen students (two teams of seven) will be chosen to represent 全球电竞直播 at the online Collegiate Leadership Competition on April 7 & 9, 2022.

What’s in it for me
Develop Skills : Through the weekly training sessions, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable leadership, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills in an active, experiential environment. You will engage with innovative concepts, videos, practice outlines, and activities. The CLC curriculum was designed with participants in mind and ensures that you are learning skills that will help set up apart professionally. Through this experience, you can have fun while building skills that will transfer to other leadership positions on campus and in your career.
Meet People & Grow Your Network: Many past CLC teammates have noted that the experience allowed them to make new friends while joining a community of like-minded students who want to learn more about leading others. At the competition you’ll have the opportunity to connect with a community of students, coaches, and corporate and community leaders from across Ontario.
Build Your Resume: CLC will help you stand out professionally by advancing your leadership skills, adding a valuable experience to your resume, increasing the number of competencies you can list, all while showing employers that you are committed to teamwork.
Over this four-month period, the team will meet weekly, with campus coaches, to learn and practice the CLC curriculum, which includes topics such as:
- creative problem solving,
- presentation skills,
- navigating stress,
- influencing others,
- leadership styles, and
- team dynamics.
This opportunity will increase your understanding of personal strengths and areas for improvement by stretching you to the boundaries of your knowledge, skills, and abilities.
At the beginning of April, teams from schools across the globe will participate in an online, high-energy, action-filled competition where you will be challenged to put your knowledge and training into action. The competition consists of 6 45-minute challenges where teams will be scored on two dimensions – their results (100 points) and their process (100 points). Each team member will have opportunity to lead one activity.
Those hoping to join the Brock CLC Team must be available for at least 1 of the following practice times weekly from January until the event in April
